Four test rounds before the opening season. BSB Test Tour will start at Donington from April, involving Snetterton, Silverstone and Oulton Park too
BSB Test Tour, hewe we go! Four pre-season rounds with four free practice session to be ready for the season opener planned for 29th-31st May at Oulton Park. A great opportunity for every team considering that there is a lot of time to test things having four tests between April and May. Due to Covid-19 emergency, the promoter MSVR decided to organize tests only within Great Britain.
BSB RESTRICTIONS
No rounds in Portugal or Spain to respect pandemic restrictions. We got to take a look at the rules about private tests, which were prohibited from 1st January to 31st March. Riders are allowed to make training sessions on track, but not with BSB bikes. Instead, from 1st April to 14th October tests are allowed, but there are some restrictions. Riders could test only for 16 days and only on Great Britain and Ireland tracks. No placement restrictions from 18th October to 31st December.
BSB TEST TOUR: THE PLAN
Considering this scenario, MSVR organized then four tests before the opening round of the season. We will have the first one at Donington Park on 13th April followed by Silverstone on 28th and 29th April. Then we will move to Snetterton, 4th-5th-6th May. The last test session will be at Oulton Park on 19th May. Ten days later, British Superbike 2021 will have his first race of the season just at Oulton Bark
