Moto3: PrüstelGP kickstart 2019 with team launch at Sachsenring

On Friday evening, the Redox Prüstel GP Team presented itself in front of all its sponsors and partners in a new formation at the Sachsenring. Prüstel Logistics – the head and the heart behind the Redox PrüstelGP team strives for innovation and sustainably shapes the future of the logistics industry through efficient transport logistics and in the coming season with a special design also the motorcycles of the Sachsenring squad.

With new recruit Filip Salač the team from the Sachsenring welcomes another Czech rider in the team. The rider pairing has great ambitions to built up on the success of the team from 2018. Stefan Kirsch, also a new member of the team, has been coaching Philipp Öttl in the Moto3 World Championship for the past few years and is now the new crew chief for the rookie Salač.

Jakub Kornfeil will already be competing in his third season in the Saxon racing team. After the Czech rider achieved his best ever World Championship result last year in front of his home crowd at the Grand Prix in Brno, the experienced pilot wants to constantly finish in the top5.

Next to him, his compatriot and Moto3 rookie, Filip Salač will take a seat on the brand new Moto3 KTM. The young Czech is coming from the Red Bull Rookies Cup to the Redox PrüstelGP Team. Salač was already able to compete in the Moto3 World Championship as a wild card rider at his home race in Brno. Team boss, Florian Prüstel, watched the up-coming talent for nearly two years before the rider from Prague signed on to the German Moto3 team. With the 17-year-old Czech, the team from Sachsenring wins a young, ambitious pilot and remains faithful to giving new talents a chance.

Next week, the Saxon racing team will already be heading to Valencia for the first of two private pre-season tests. For Filip Salač it will be the first time to roll out of the box on his new Moto3 KTM. Due to the fact that some opponents have moved up Moto2, the experienced Kornfeil sees great opportunities to achieve his seasonal goal. But before the first World Championship points will be won in Qatar on March 10, the new KTM machine will be pushed to its limits in the upcoming three tests. Especially the official IRTA test in southern Spain in Jerez de la Frontera from 20th – 22nd February will clarify where the team stands in direct comparison to the other competitors.
