BSB: 2019 Winter Test Calendar released

As we said last 8th JanuaryBritish Superbike has welcomed new winter testing regulation for 2019: BSB-spec bikes (equipped with MoTeC ECU and no electronic controls) aren’t allowed to hit the track until Official BSB Winter Test, scheduled from 13th to 15th March at Monteblanco (Spain).

This change has been made to lower costs and put both the main BSB teams and the smaller ones on the same level, as confirmed in these days by Stuart Higgs: “Every BSB team used to have their own winter test agenda, but now they will all have the sameThis change puts all the teams on the same level, as they’ve been given the same conditions. Many changes have affected BSB grid for 2019 season and so ths year’s winter testing will be even more important than before”.

While many riders will test on Superstock machines during the next few weeks, the first 2019 Official BSB Test will take place from 13th to 15th March in Monteblanco and then the teams will move to Portimao for two further days of testing (17-18th March). Later on, traditional MSVR Test will take place on 9th April on Silverstone’s National Circuit. Silverstone is also the place that’s hosting 2019 BSB season opener from 19th to 21st April. There, British Superbike will be supported by all the championships taking place alongside it (including British Supersport, National Superstock 1000 and 600 series and single-brand championships like Ducati TriOptions Cup).
