BSB: Final 2019 British Superbike Entry List released

2019 British Superbike sells out, as all the 30 spots (+ 2 wildcard entries) available for the season have been filled. About 70 days before the season opener, scheduled from 19th to 21st April at Silverstone’s National Circuit, MSVR has shared the final entry list for the 2019 edition of BSB. The season will be contested by 30 riders and 6 different manufacturers (Kawasaki, Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and BMW) and everyone is expecting one of the most exciting BSB seasons ever.

Following the departure of 2018 Champion Leon Haslam (who’s gone back to World Superbike) and last year’s runner-up Jake Dixon (who’ll debut in Moto2 World Championship), it’s become very hard to predict who can fight for the title this year. In the meantime, Quattro Plant JG Speedfit Kawasaki has replaced Haslam and Luke Mossey with Glenn Irwin and Australian rookie Ben Currie (2018 British Supersport runner-up), while Be Wiser PBM Ducati Team will give its Panigale V4 R machines to Josh Brookes and former MotoGP rider Scott Redding. Honda Racing UK has fully changed its lineup, as the squad has signed Xavi Forés and Andrew Irwin, while Jason O’Halloran will ride alongside re-signed Tarran Mackenzie inside McAMS Yamaha Team. Other riders to keep an eye on are Bradley Ray (Buildbase Suzuki), Tommy Bridewell (Moto Rapido Ducati), Dan Linfoot (TAG Yamaha) and Peter Hickman (Smiths Racing).

Tyco BMW by TAS will try to rise again with Christian Iddon and returning Keith Farmer, while Italian Claudio Corti represents one more interesting rookie for 2019 season. The former contestant of Moto2, MotoGP and Superbike World Championships will debut in BSB thanks to Team WD-40 GR MotoSport Kawasaki. Furthermore, one more thing to be remarked is the average age of 2019 BSB field: 27, younger than the World Superbike one.
