BSB: Ryuichi Kiyonari will be at Oulton Park with Honda!

Look who’s back!! The third 2018 British Superbikes round, scheduled at Oulton Park from 5th till 7th May (Bank Holiday Weekend), will see the incredible return of Ryuichi Kiyonari. Yes, because the three times BSB Champion has been signed by Honda Racing UK to replace injured Dan Linfoot.

Currently competing in All Japan Superbike and Suzuka 8 Hours for Moriwaki Racing (always on a Honda Fireblade), King Kiyo is one of the riders who made the history of BSB. Since his debut back in 2004, when he had his first full season in Europe after replacing Daijiro Kato in MotoGP the year before, Ryuichi scored with HM Plant Honda 50 wins (record that lasted many years) and, especially, he won the title in 2006, 2007 and 2010. The last one, in particular, was won after a super final round at Oulton Park. The last season in BSB for Ryuichi Kiyonari dates back to 2016, when he switched from Bennetts Suzuki to Smiths Racing BMW without (objectively) making his mark.

I’m sorry for Dan“, admits Ryuichi Kiyonari, who represented Moriwaki together with Dan Linfoot and Yuki Takahashi in 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours. “I’m glad to come back to BSB, where I raced so many seasons, and I’m also happy to do it with a team I worked with for a long time. I already know then new CBR, since I rode it last season, so I will do my best to achieve good results at Oulton Park“.
