BSB: Shane Byrne undergoes successful surgery

Finally we have good news after the hard times lived by his family, his beloved ones, BSB circus, his supporters and all the racing fans. Shane Byrne underwent a difficult surgery at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, where he was taken after the huge crash he had at Snetterton during BSB Official Test.

The surgery, as his wife Petra (always by his side in these days) had already written, was successful: there was no complication and finally we can breath a sigh of relief about Shakey‘s health conditions.

His life has never been in danger, but the best BSB rider ever was hospitalized at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital already right after the crash and then he remained constantly under observation.

The surgery was needed to stabilize the spinal fractures, which the 41-year-old Be Wiser PBM Ducati rider suffered at Snetterton. It was a difficult one, performed by experienced professionals, and no damage was found in Shane’s spinal cord. A detailed report about the rider’s health conditions is expected to be released soon.
