CEV Moto2 Aragón, Race 1: Clear-cut victory for Edgar Pons, Raffin 2nd

After taking the pole position on Saturday, Edgar Pons showed again an impressive rhythm, closing Race 1 with a great advantage on the rivals and conquering the first personal victory of the season so far. On podium with him we have the Championship leader Jesko Raffin (who benefits also with the absence of main rival Augusto Fernández) and Hector Garzó, while Italian rider Alessandro Zetti won in Superstock 600. Race 2 is on at 14.00 .

At the beginning the poleman had the best shot, close followed by Raffin, who soon takes the lead of the race, and Garzó, while both Tulovic and Marcon lost some positions. It takes just some corners for Edgar Pons to regain the first position again, starting to put some gap between him and the Swiss rider: the situation stabilizes just after some laps, except for the battle for the sixth position between Cardelús and Miquel Pons, joined later by Marcon. The Andorran rider soon closes his race after crashing in the middle of the track, luckly avoided by the other riders, but also Meggle (until that moment in top ten) must retire because of a fell.

Edgar Pons dominates and gets the first victory of the season, followed by Jesko Raffin and Hector Garzó, while Lukas Tulovic is fourth ahead of Marc Alcoba. Tommaso Marcon wins the battle for the sixth position only at the chequered flag, close followed by Miquel Pons and Dimas Ekky Pratama, who joined the duo just at the end. In top ten also Alessandro Zaccone and Marcel Brenner, while Fau55Racing rider Alessandro Zetti gets the victory in the Superstock 600 category.
