Misano will pay homage to Nicky Hayden with a garden dedicated to him. The work will start after Easter.
Misano wants to remember ‘Kentucky Kid’ through a garden that will bring his name: on Thursday the Municipality of the city, answering to a request made by the Misano Council, approved a project to realize the abovementioned garden, a way to commemorate the unfortunate American rider.
The work will be funded by some Hayden’s friends, first of all Denis Pazzaglini, mechanic of the biker by the time he rode in MotoGP with Repsol Honda Team, and it will be placed exactly where the accident happened, thanks to the transfer of the land. The work will start after Easter and the intention is to conclude it in time to commemorate the first anniversary of the rider’s death (May 22nd, 2017).
“Misano Municipality accepted the request made by Nicky Hayden’s friends immediately” said the mayor Stefano Giannini. “The American biker considered the city as one of his reference point and Denis Pazzaglini, from Misano, was one of his closest friends. Destiny wanted them to be together on their bikes through the city until some hours before the accident.”
