MotoGP, Morbidelli first again in FP3, surprisingly Marini is 3rd

A free practice that didn’t tell us a lot. In his second year in MotoGP, Morbidelli was first again. Surprises the third position of Luca Marini and the momentaneous exclusion from Q2 of Joan Mir.

A new day for MotoGP, starting with the FP3. After just 5 minutes FP2 winner, Jack Miller, falls at turn 15 as Pol Esaprgaro did yesterday evening. This morning we saw higher times than FP2. In fact, no one tried a time attack because of the different track and weather conditions. Overall Yamaha led the session with Morbidelli and the two official riders in the first places. We saw another incident at the end of the session. This time is Aleix Espargaro to fall with his bike.

In the end, Morbidelli finished first with a 1:54.676. Behind him Aleix Esapargaro and Luca Marini with a gap of 1 tenth from Morbidelli for both of them. Rins is 4th in front of Quartararo. To complete the top ten of the session Mir, Nakagami, Vinales, Bradl and Oliveira. As you can see from the combined classification, Jack Miller is the first to go into Q2, followed by Bagnaia and Quartararo. Behind them Zarco ahead of Rins. The last 5 drivers to avoid Q1 are Vinales, Morbidelli, A. Esapargaro, Rossi and Pol Espargaro. Surprises the 11th position of the former world champion Joan Mir who will have to fight to get in the first two positions of Q1.
