Another unfortunate motocross race for Andrea Dovizioso, who remedies an injury while participating in a Regional Championship in Italy. H crashed during the first heat therefore he had to give up the second race. In the next few hours, we will know the extent of the injury. The MotoGP test with Aprilia in Jerez scheduled for April is in danger of skipping. What seems certain is that the rider will not give up on his upcoming commitments on the dirt road as he has signed agreements with Yamaha, Red Bull and other brands to compete in various national events.

Andrea Dovizioso decided to get some experience in regional competitions to gain more experience. For the former Ducati rider, motocross is a great passion that he has always used as his favorite form of training. Less than a month ago he completed his first test in a race finishing 5th in the combined classification of the two heats.

Last weekend Dovizioso wanted to test himself again but things didn’t go so well. The accident recalls what happened in June 2020, when he broke his left collarbone in a regional race. An injury that thrilled Ducati fans and top management as the MotoGP season would start a few weeks later, with a great delay due to the Covid-19 emergency. Fortunately, Dovi managed to get back quickly and to participate in the Jerez GP. Now some concerns are surfacing in Aprilia, which has formalized a test with Andrea in April. An official statement will arrive in the next few hours to know his real physical condition.
