After that Jorge Martín was the fastest in FP1, in the afternoon we saw the rise of Marco Bezzecchi: the championship leader, riding PrüstelGP KTM, set the fastest lap (1:49.005) during the final minutes of FP2 and so he ended up leading Friday standings. In second place we find Jakub Kornfeil, followed by Phillip Oettl and Niccolò Antonelli, but the gaps are very low, as we have even 17 riders within just one second.
The first half of the session was led by Antonelli, who was first in front of Kornfeil. But in the last few minutes everything changed, since most of the riders tried to improve their laptimes (also thanks to the slipstream). Two of them, Tatsuki Suzuki and Nakarin Atiratphuvapat, crashed while trying to push harder, but fortunately they both escaped uninjured.
Finally, it was Marco Bezzecchi who went first. Behind him, second place was scored by Jakub Kornfeil, while Phillip Oettl ranked third in front of Niccolò Antonelli and Jorge Martín. Sixth place for rookie Jaume Masia, who was followed by Darryn Binder and John McPhee. Nicolò Bulega and Aron Canet closed the top 10.
