Moto3 Misano, FP2: Jorge Martín leads, Bezzecchi follows

The Del Conca rider Jorge Martín ends his Friday with a leading position, followed by Marco Bezzecchi and Enea Bastianini.

The first two positions in the FP2 ranking (as well as those in the combined ranking) have been take up by the two main rivals for the World Championship title : Jorge Martín registered the best time of the day, just 92 thousandths ahead of the current World Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi. The Italian rider Enea Bastianini got the 3rd place.

All riders immediately went down the track to take advantage of all the time available for this round, considering the high chances of rain. Martín took the lead in just a few minutes, while the wild card Yari Montella fell on Turn 15. This will be his first race in a World Championship for the young rider, on track with the SIC58 Squadra Corse. Masiá also had the same troubles that bothered him in the morning, and he had to stop on the side of the track twice due to technical issues.

The head of ranking changed in the second half of the round, when some Italian riders stood out before the final assault: eventually, the two main contenders for the title of World Champion, Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, got the 1st and 2nd place respectively. Enea Bastianini closed his round 3rd ahead of Gabriel Rodrigo and Aron Canet. Philipp Öttl finished 6th followed by Lorenzo Dalla Porta and the amazing wild card Kevin Zannoni. Tony Arbolino and Dennis Foggia filled up the remaining positions in the top 10.
