Moto3 Mugello, FP2: Jorge Martin the quickest man on Friday, Bezzecchi 6th

Jorge Martin gets the first position also in the second round of the free practice ahead of Aron Canet and Tatsuki Suzuki. Bezzecchi finished 6th and Antonelli fell twice.

Jorge Martin signed this Friday’s FP2 here at Mugello: the Spanish rider made the best time of the day, winning over Aron Canet and Tatsuki Suzuki. The best Italian rider is the current World Champion Marco Bezzecchi, with a 6th place. Niccolò Antonelli suffered a bad fall and had to be taken to the Medical Center for checkups.

Both Del Conca riders kicked off amazingly, with much faster times compared to the ones in the morning. The same can be said for all Moto3 riders today, as they took the track trying to make the best out of this first day at the Mugello Circuit. Unfortunately, Antonelli fell while he was in 2nd place: he hit Toba while leaving the pit lane and went down. Later on, the Sic58 Squadra Corse rider also suffered a violent high side on Savelli Turn: he had to be carried out on a gurney and taken to the Medical Center for checkups.

The classic ‘final assault’ technique favored Jorge Martin, who won the first position with an excellent 1:57.104 ahead of Aron Canet and Tatsuki Suzuki. 4th place for Phillip Oettl, followed by Kaito Toba and the World Champion Marco Bezzecchi, the best among the Italian riders. His teammate Jakub Kornfeil finished 7th ahead of John McPhee, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Albert Arenas.
