MotoGP, Doha GP Practice 3: Quartararo in front of Suzuki

FP3 MotoGP rather complex for the wind. Fabio Quartararo closes in command, followed by the Suzuki duo. The Ducatis always lead the combined standings.

The penultimate free practice session rather difficult to interpret due to the wind and sand on the track. At the command is Fabio Quartararo, preceding the Suzuki of Alex Rins and of the MotoGP champion Joan Mir.

The wind conditioned for sure this session. Seven drivers stayed most of the time in the box, while the others recorded really high times. Quartararo leads the session for long, with a 1:56.723. Then the Suzuki duo gets in front of him, just a few tenths faster. Some changes in the classification but nothing extraordinary during the last minutes.

In the end, Quartararo is first with a time of 1:56.064. Behind him the Suzuki duo, Rins ahead of Mir. Petrucci ends 4th, in front of Vinales and Morbidelli. Bastianini and Alex Marquez are 7th and 8th, ahead of Rossi. Closes the top ten of the session Pol Espargaro, 7 tenths behind Quartararo.

The combined classification stays the same. Miller, Bagnaia and Zarco I top 3 followed by the Yamahas, Aleix Espargaro, Rins and Jorge Martin. The last one to get directly into Q2 is Bradl. Surprisingly Joan Mir is again out of the top 10, like Valentino Rossi, the KTMs and the Hondas.
