MotoGP, Andrea Dovizioso after the accident: “What a tough day!”

Andrea Dovizioso reassures his fans from his social channel after the motocross accident. The MotoGP test with Aprilia is not at risk

Andrea Dovizioso reassures the MotoGP fans. The accident remedied in a regional motocross race in Italy did not cause worrying physical damage. “A tough day yesterday, but everything is fine!”, Commented the former Ducati rider. Therefore, the three-day test in Jerez on the new Aprilia RS-GP is not at risk. He will fly to Spain as scheduled and he will run from 12th to 14th April on the saddle of the new prototype. The goal is to feel firsthand the potential of the new bike and evaluate whether to return to the paddock by first passing through the test rider’s procedure, or to think of a direct entry, or during the current season, in place of Lorenzo Savadori.

The first clinical results did not give worryings and the tests confirmed the initial good feelings. Having cleared the clouds of a new injury, Andrea Dovizioso is ready to get back on a MotoGP bike. Three weeks before being able to see him again at work on a circuit he knows well. In thirteen seasons in the premier class at Jerez he has only achieved one podium in 2020 aboard the Ducati.
