Esponsorama Racing (Ducati) is the first MotoGP team who made an official presentation of their squad unveiling Marini, Bastianini, Antonelli, Tatay, Pires and Cardelus’ bikes
It’s time to shine for MotoGP as we got the first team presentation! Esponsorama Racing (Ducati) unveiled their bikes not only for the major class as we saw Moto3 and MotoE ones. Ruben Xaus’ squad is composed by 6 riders, 2 per category. Luca Marini and Moto2 World Champion Enea Bastianini will race in MotoGP as rookies, while Niccolò Antonelli and Carlos Tatay will compete in Moto3. Andres Pires and Xavi Cardelus are going to participate at the third ever FIM Enel World Cup MotoE.
There was a lot of suspense about the liveries, even if we already saw Luca Marini’s one via Sky Racing Team VR46 as the crew who followed him in Moto2 will assist the Italian in the MotoGP journey as well. Esponsorama made his presentation with an Instagram live in Andorra respecting all Covid-19 protocols. We saw also Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse Sporting Director, who expressed his thoughts on MotoGP line-up claiming to be confident about the team.
“This is a good team, a young one”, said Ciabatti. “We believe to have a strong line-up with ambitious guys who can reach good results. There is satisfaction on taking this new adventure, we cannot wait to start the season”. Of course the same words were said by Esponsorama Racing Team Manager, Ruben Xaus, who presented the event as well. At the same time we had the first reactions from the two riders, Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini.
LUCA MARINI AND ENEA BASTIANINI’S THOUGHTS
“I’m happy to be here for this season, it will be the first one in MotoGP with Ducati Avintia, unbelievable!”, declared Bastianini. A dream came true: “Five years ago thinking about my MotoGP debut was a dream, now I am Moto2 World Champion and ready to start my first MotoGP season. I cannot wait to begin this championship, then we’ll see when we could be able to fight for good results on track”.
On the other side, Luca Marini was happy as well: “Being in the major class is something incredible! I am working hard for the first race of the season”. ‘Maro’ highlighted as well how important is to continue the journey with his crew: “We will have a really helpful test to take confidence with the new bike. For me it’s really important to work again with Sky Racing Team VR46”
