MotoGP: KTM Factory Racing unveils bikes and riders

After Esponsorama and Ducati Factory, this morning KTM Factory Racing unveiled its two MotoGP teams for 2021. In addition to the two official RC16s of Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira, we discovered those with Tech 3 colors entrusted to Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona.

The presentation took place online with a pre-filmed video. Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsport Director, “calls” Mike Leitner, Race Manager MotoGP Red Bull KTM  Factory Racing, to get ready to start the season. Last year KTM celebrated the first victory in MotoGP with Brad Binder, in Brno, and he became the first KTM MotoGP winner. “We’ve had a great season. We had pole positions, podiums, and two great wins. With Brad and Miguel we just reunited our dream team”.

The two official riders talked first and both Miguel and Brad are excited to start the season. They raced together in Moto3 and Moto3, as Brad remembered, therefore this season is going to be “a pretty cool story”. “I am excited to join you and share the box with Brad,” said the Portuguese. “The hype is huge, especially after the last win”. Binder is looking forward to the start of the season as well. “I can’t wait to come back. In winter I trained cycling and with my motocross but I’m excited to get on a MotoGP”.

Then, it was time to present the new riders line up for Tech3, Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona. Hervé Poncharal, Tech3 KTM Factory Racing Team Manager is very positive. “We have a strong package, great bike and riders. It’s our third year with KTM and this line up can make the difference.”

We saw Danilo first. “This shirt fits perfectly,” he began with. “This is a great opportunity. I’ve used KTM in the past with motocross and enduro bikes, it is a strong manufacturer and I’m happy to be here”. Iker is going to learn a lot from Danilo and he’s aware of it. “He’s a fast rider and I hope I can learn from him, I want to improve. During the winter I worked hard to train to get on a MotoGP”

Finally, we saw the bikes. The official team’s livery doesn’t change, but the Tech3’s is a great surprise, completely orange.
