MotoGP: Marc VDS trucks have arrived at Mugello

Yesterday the absence of Marc VDS MotoGP team had shocked the paddock, since there was just the Moto2 one, but finally the trucks have arrived. Moreover, we saw also the arrival of eight more rigs, which are necessary for the establishment of their new hospitality area.

NEGOTIATIONS – It was a very difficult day: the trucks had been stopped by the German concessionaire, that had signed a lease agreement with the society of ex-team manager Michael Bartholemy, fired by Marc VDS due to financial embezzlement. The concessionaire claimed guarantees and finally these were given by Marc van der Straten. So the team, which currently competes in MotoGP with Franco Morbidelli and Thomas Luthi and in Moto2 with Joan Mir and Alex Marquez, will be at Mugello.

NERVOUSNESS – But the problems are not over. The legal battle between the team owner and Michael Bartholemy should come to an end, also thanks to the (many) lawyers managing this case, but now there are many teams aiming for their spots in MotoGP and Moto2, whose control on them is shifting from Bartholemy to Marc van der Straten.

DOUBTS– We also have to see what Gianluca Montiron will do. He’s played a mediating role in the battle between van der Straten and Bartholemy and he’s also started working on 2019 campaign. But now Montiron is verifying whether there are the right conditions to continue.
