A few hours before the start of the official tests, Suzuki officially opens its 2021. Here are the colours of the bike of the reigning MotoGP champion Joan Mir and Alex Rins.
The last presentation of the year is that of the team that has the reigning MotoGP world champion in its ranks. In connection with the Losail circuit (also today whipped by the wind), Joan Mir and Alex Rins enter the scene in overalls and on their new Suzuki GSX-RR. Few changes in the livery, a little more black appears on the lower part for the sponsor Monster.
For Mir, the goal is certainly to defend the title, a new challenge. Without the 1 in front, a number that will not be totally absent. “We put it somewhere on the bike anyway,” the MotoGP champion pointed out with a smile. “2020 was a roller coaster year,” admitted Rins, speaking of the injury. “But we really finished well. We have to continue like this.” “Suzuki are working tirelessly to find new improvements,” added luxury tester Sylvain Guintoli. “The situation last year was not ideal, but development continues. We are already working on the new engine for next year.”
