Nasser Al-Attiyah invites Valentino Rossi to race Dakar Rally

The contract bounding almost-40-year-old Valentino Rossi to Yamaha MotoGP expires at the end of 2020 season and an increasing number of people are inviting the Italian legend to move to car racing. The latest invitation comes from Nasser Al-Attiyah, Qatari prince known as twice Dakar Rally winner (and this year he may achieve his third win at the event…).

While being interviewed by Maria Guidotti, who’s following Dakar Rally for Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Al-Attiyah sent Valentino Rossi his invitation to join Dakar Rally. “«I’m waiting for him! I’m sure that he’ll try Dakar as soon as he retires from MotoGP. He’s a real talent, I’m sure he can be fast also in car racing”, believes Al-Attiyah.  «I’ve been watching him since always, we meet every year when he comes to Doha for MotoGP. He’s even used my rifle…». Al-Attiyah is great also at skeet shooting (he even won the bronze medal at 2012 Olympic Games) and in 2017 he had a practice session together with Rossi before Qatar GP started. If Valentino Rossi wants to experience Dakar Rally, he’ll get some important “royal advice”…
