2019 brings Bikeandrace some important changes. Starting from this year, we’ll provide you news and stories from AMA Supercross FIM World Championship, one of the most spectacular series all over the world. Every SX race will be followed by our new entry Andrea Ettori, the one who will also tell you about MXGP World Championship.
AMA Supercross is divided into 250SX and 450SX classes and both will provide you great action in each of the 17 race weekends we’ll see in 2019 season. Both classes will follow the usual format of AMA Supercross, that you can read here below:
– Free Practice
– Qualifying Practice
– 250 HEAT #1 – 20 riders (the first 9 riders go to Main Event, the rest will take part in Last Chance Qualifier, later known as LCQ) – 6 minutes + one lap
– 250 HEAT #2 – 20 riders (the first 9 riders go to Main Event, the rest will take part in LCQ) – 6 minutes + one lap
– 450 HEAT #1 – 20 riders (the first 9 riders go to Main Event, the rest will take part in LCQ) – 6 minutes + one lap
– 450 HEAT #2 – 20 riders (the first 9 riders go to Main Event, those from 10th to 20th place will go to LCQ) – 6 minutes + one lap

– 250 MAIN EVENT – 22 riders – 15 minutes + one lap

The rider who has the lowest score after the last of these three rounds will win the “Triple Crown”.
For what concerns the riders, 450SX class includes some well-known names like German star Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson, Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia, Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin and evergreen Chad Reed. In 250SX, keep an eye on people like Kyle Chisholm and French rising talent Dylan Ferrandis.
