Jeffrey Herlings found in Sevlievo another feud to add to his kingdom. After winning Race 1, the championship leader did it again in Race 2 and so the Dutchman scored his fifth double win in a row and his 12th one in 17 GPs. As Antonio Cairoli finished second, the gap parting Red Bull KTM Factory pair reaches 73 points (Herlings 783, Cairoli 710) and Herlings is getting closer and closer to the title, with just three GPs left.
HE DID IT AGAIN! – At the beginning, Cairoli took the lead by starting very well, but a slight mistake at the exit of a corner made him go second behind Herlings. As he passed the nine times World Champion, Herlings maintained a two-second gap between him and TC222, but as they reached half of the 30 minutes (+ 2 laps) of the race, the Dutch increased the advantage till crossing the line 14 seconds earlier than Cairoli. The pair was joined on Race 2 podium by Tim Gajser. The Slovenian HRC rider (2nd and 3rd) finished the GP in second place ahead of Clément Desalle (3rd in Race 1 and 4th in Race 2) and Antonio Cairoli.
MX2 – The MX2 Bulgarian round was won by Jorge Prado . The Spaniard won Race 2 after finishing Race 1 in second place and so he secured GP win by beating Pauls Jonass, who ranked third after Race 1 win. Prado remains first in championship standings with 739 points, 30 more than reigning World Champion Jonass.
