Superbike Donington, FP4: Jonathan Rea lays once again first

After finishing first in Friday Free Practice standings, Jonathan Rea did the same thing in Saturday morning’s FP4. The northern Irish went first at the beginning of the session by running in 1’28.177 Jonathan Rea and then he improved by half a second (1’27.664) as he was temporarily overtaken by Tom Sykes (1’27.942).

Later Tom Sykes improved his laptime till riding in 1’27.786 and so the guy from Huddersfield secured second place. Third and fourth place went to Yamaha duo Alex Lowes and Michael van der Mark, followed by Milwaukee Aprilia’s Eugene Laverty. Chaz Davies, Leon Haslam, Jordi Torres (back to business after FP3 technical issue), Toprak Razgatlioglu and Leon Camier close the top 10.

Except Haslam, not so good performance from BSB riders contesting UK Round: Bradley Ray ranked 18th after earning the pass for Superpole 2 on Friday, while Luke Mossey, Mason Law and Gino Rea close the standings from 23rd to 25th place.
