Toprak Razgatlioglu will continue to ride with the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team in the FIM WorldSBK Championship for the 2019 season. At Assen, team principal Manuel Puccetti and the rider’s manager Kenan Sofuoglu were able to reach an agreement that will keep the team from Reggio Emilia and the young Turkish rider together next year.
Born in 1996 in Alanya (Turkey), Razgatlioglu has been part of the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team since 2015. In that season he became FIM STK600 Champion after grabbing 4 wins and 2 podiums. In 2016 he stepped up to STK1000 together with the team from Reggio Emilia but it was in 2017 that he was able to prove his incredible talent battling till the very end for the championship title. After missing Magny Cours round because of an injury, he fought hard in the final round of the season at Jerez but with 8 points of disadvantage Toprak missed the title finishing second in championship.
In 2018 he moved up in WorldSBK on board the team’s Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR. In his rookie year, Toprak has been able to finish most of the races in the top ten and recently, at Donington Park, he made his first ever podium, finishing second in Race 2 and becoming the first ever Turkish podium finisher in the top class of the championship.
The team from Reggio Emilia and Kawasaki are happy to announce the continuing collaboration with Razgatlioglu supporting him with the best package available, sure that he will soon be able to succeed in the FIM Superbike World Championship.
