Supersport: Héctor Barberá faces two days of testing on Kawasaki

The debut of Héctor Barberá in World Supersport is getting closer and closer and the Spaniard had a first taste of Kawasaki in Mugello and Imola, where he faced two days of testing with Puccetti Racing.

These two days were fundamental for Barberá, because he verified the potential of Kawasaki ZX-6R and worked with the team to find a good setup. Both the team and the rider are very satisfied with how the test went and the words of Héctor and Manuel Puccetti (Kawasaki Puccetti Team Manager) reveal trust and motivation ahead of the upcoming Portimao Round (14th-16th September).

Héctor Barberá: “I am very happy with this test. Firstly, we spent one day in Mugello, where we verified our competitiveness and found a good setup, and then we went to Imola to make some more laps. It was my first time on such circuit, but I really like it and in the end, I was very fast also there. I am very happy with the feeling I had and with the great job the team did. Kawasaki ZX-6R is a great bike and I felt very well from the very first laps. We look at Portimao Round with huge motivation and we hope to start this campaign with a great result.

Manuel Puccetti: “We faced two days of testing, one in Mugello and one in Imola, and we are very happy with how they went. Héctor rode about 8oo kilometres, including 100 laps in Imola, and finally we found a good setup. Héctor is a fantastic rider and a real professional. He is a great person and as a rider, he is fast and very sensitive to changes. We started from the strong basis we had, but we tested many solutions together with Hèctor and finally we found a setup that suits his riding style. We’re looking forward to going to Portimao and see what we can do!
