Superbike: Bautista and Haslam, half a day in Jerez on a dry track

Team HRC with only half a day of testing in Jerez on a dry track. Both Bautista and Haslam are positive: “We tried interesting news.”

Team HRC managed to report at least half a day of testing after last week’s bad weather. Bautista and Haslam completed an intense Superbike test afternoon at Jerez with a dry track and higher temperatures. Moreover, the two riders were able to work on new components on their respective CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SPs for a while, providing important information to the engineers. The MotoGP tester Stefan Bradl was on track too, on the RC213V 2021. It should have been two days, but the rain reappeared, so the business stopped again.

Alvaro Bautista admitted, “We haven’t been particularly fortunate. If nothing else, we were able to take advantage of half of the day, trying some new things for next season. It was a very short but important and positive test”.
Leon Haslam talks about “crazy weather” but he looks at the positives. “We were able to complete a few laps and provide the information the engineers needed. There is some interesting news, we hope to be able to carry out other tests soon. It shouldn’t take long, but it will all depend on the current health emergency.”
