The additional WorldSBK Free Practice session at Misano saw Jonathan Rea going back to where he’s belonged for some years: first place. The reigning World Champion set the fastest lap in FP4 (1’34.445) and is ready to fight for his third pole position in 2018 after those scored at Buriram and Imola.
Behind Rea, Chaz Davies ranked second ahead of Tom Sykes and Friday’s king Lorenzo Savadori, while Alex Lowes keeps being consistent as he scored fifth place in this session. The top 10 is closed by Loris Baz, Xavi Forés, Michael van der Mark, Eugene Laverty and Leon Camier.
11th place for special guest Niccolò Canepa, currently engaged in Endurance WOrld Championship with GMT94 Yamaha, while Jordi Torres took MV Agusta up to 12th place ahead of one of the Romagna heroes: Michael Rinaldi. No track time for Marco Melandri.
