After re-signing Jan-Ole Jähnig for 2019 season, KTM Freudenberg has done the same thing with Maximilian Kappler. This means that the German rider will ride the KTM RC390R also next year, his third one with the team based in Saxony.
Such deal represents for Kappler an important second chance. The 20-year-old guy from Oberlungwitz has so far lived a quite disappointing season and his best result is Assen Round’s 12th place. Kappler switched to Supersport 300 in 2017, when he went back to German IDM after some seasons in Moto3 Junior World Championship.
