Supersport: Sam Hornsey joins Profile Racing and comes back to racing

Profile Racing has finally announced who will replace Stefan Hill for the remaining 2018 rounds (Portimao, Magny Cours, Villicum and Qatar). The Triumph of the British squad, the only one in the field after Luke Stapleford’s switch to Yamaha R6, will be ridden by Sam Hornsey.

What Hornsey will experience is a double return, because he’ll come back to racing after retiring in 2016, when he left Team WD-40 after just one BSB round to focus on his business (Hornsey Steels Ltd, a company which manufactures roofing sheets), and he’ll also re-join Profile Racing after successful 2015 campaign, when he scored two podium finishes in British Supersport. In the past Hornsey, 24-year-old man from Ludlow, raced in Spanish CEV 125 series.
