At Motorland Aragon Markus Reiterberger dominated the opening Qualifying Practice of 2018 European Superstock 1000 Championship. The German rider, three times Superbike IDM Champion, performed an amazing lap in 1’51.427 during the first half of the session and thanks to this time he distanced his opponents and maintained pole position till the chequered flag.
In 2nd and 3rd place we find Roberto Tamburini and Federico Sandi, both half a second slower than “Reiti”. Anyway, the performance of the two Italian riders is very positive. Sandi, in particular, is already in the front positions with the Ducati of Lorenzo Mauri’s Motocorsa Racing Team, at the debut in STK1000 after many seasons in the Italian Championship. Second row for both Aprilia Racing riders: Maximilian Scheib and Luca Vitali will start from fourth and sixth position and in the middle we will see Jan Bühn (Reiterberger’s team-mate in alpha technik – Van Zon – BMW Team).
7th place for Florian Marino, who will open the third row in front of the Italian pair formed by Alessandro Andreozzi and Emanuele Pusceddu. The rookie Alessandro Delbianco took his Althea Racing BMW in 10th position, while the returning Luca Salvadori and Riccardo Russo ranked 11th and 12th.
