Superstock 1000 Assen, FP1-FP2: Markus Reiterberger rules

After dominating Aragon race last week, Markus Reiterberger wants to do the same at Assen. The three times Superbike IDM Champion (2013, 2015 and 2017) set the fastest lap in both Friday Free Practice sessions and his opponents were very far from keeping the German’s pace.

“Reiti” set his best laptime in FP1, when he performed one lap in 1’37.326 and was more than one second faster than the rest, while in FP2 he ranked first with 1’37.502. Maximilian Scheib and Roberto Tamburini are the only who managed to be less than one second off Reiterberger. Both “Maxi” and “Tambu” set their personal best lap in FP2 (respectively 1’38.230 and 1’38.256).

Florian Marino and Federico Sandi (who crashed in FP2) close up the top 5, while news about Ali Efe Yegin are expected to come soon. The Turkish rider was taken to Medical Centre after falling in FP2 at Turn 9.
