Assen Round finished earlier than expected for Ali Efe Yegin. The young Turkish rookie, who races in European Superstock 1000 with Nutec – Benjan – Kawasaki, was diagnosed with concussion after yesterday’s FP2 crash and so the medical staff declared him unfit for the rest of the weekend. Yegin is now undergoing further examinations at Assen Wilhelmina Hospital.
Yegin’s injury forced Nutec – Benjan – Kawasaki to search for a replacement rider for the team’s home round and finally Fraser Rogers has been signed to compete for the team since FP3. Currently racing in British Superstock 1000, in the past Rogers competed also in Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, CEV Moto3 and World Supersport Championship.
